Lost or Found Pets

Lost a Pet?
We’re Here to Help!
If your pet is missing, please start by completing our lost form. Once submitted, your information will be automatically sent to our intake team, and a lost pet report will be created in our system.
We strongly encourage you to visit the shelter in person as soon as possible and return regularly to check whether your pet has been brought in. Due to the high number of animals we care for each day, in-person visits are the most effective way to reunite with your pet. Please monitor social media platforms regularly, as lost pets are often posted there.
Animals are held for a minimum of 120 hours (5 days).
While we do our best to match lost pets with incoming animals, submitting a form does not guarantee that you will be notified of a possible match. Our team works hard to reunite families, but we rely on owners to actively check the shelter.
Found a Pet?
Thank you for helping!
If you've found a pet, please start by completing our found form. Once submitted, the information will be automatically sent to our intake team, and a found pet report will be created in our system.
Have the pet scanned for a microchip as soon as possible. This can be done at our shelter or at most local veterinary clinics.
You may bring a found pet to our intake department during the following hours:
Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
131 Chattin Drive, Canton, or contact the Cherokee County Marshal's Office Animal Control division for field assistance at 678-493-4080.
