Community Service Guidelines
We reserve the right to dismiss anyone who does not follow these guidelines.
Eligibility

Participants must be at least 18 years old.
- For safety reasons, we cannot accept individuals who are pregnant, injured, or have allergies to animals or cleaning products.
Schedule

Community service is available Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

You must arrive early to sign in outside the Adoption Building

Late arrivals are not permitted
-
No community service hours are offered on Sundays or Mondays
Important Notice

It is your responsibility to confirm that service at our facility will be accepted by your case worker, probation officer, or judge.

We do not provide additional letters or documentation beyond required signatures.
Dress Code
-
Wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty or damaged

Shirts must have sleeves

Shorts must be no more than 2 inches above the knee

Closed-toe shoes are required

No tank tops, cut-off shorts, midriff tops, or spandex leggings
Parking
-
Please park across the street at the Kenny Askew Parking Lot
Conduct

No smoking on shelter property (including Senior Services grounds)

No foul language or loitering in office areas

All participants are expected to behave respectfully at all times

Use of a cell phone during service will result in dismissal and loss of hours
